Ice crib & Crib trail
This unique crib, 50 tonnes in weight, made from crystal clear ice, has already become a classic feature of Advent in Graz. Every year an international team of ice carvers creates a crib and decorative life-size figures. This year the crib can be seen from 28.11.2015 in the Landhaushof. Anyone who walks on the crib trail gets to leave the daily grind behind and immerse themselves in a Christmas realm. The route proceeds from the ice crib in the Landhaushof through Stempfergasse to Bürgergasse. The facades of the buildings are adorned with festive decorations, the aroma of Christmas baking hangs in the air and various Christmas cribs are on show in the shop displays. Advent train & giant wheel
During winter, which is for the most part cold and wet, ride through the old city area of Graz with the Advent trail. All ages can also head out on a long walk from Advent market to Advent market. Those who want to head up high will find the very place they want at Mariahilferplatz, where the Graz giant wheel is in the „Wonderlend".
