The Graz Marathon
The most popular sports for getting away from the daily grind are probably running and cycling.
The Graz Marathon
The ultimate marathon experience, thousands of enthusiastic spectators, ten thousand highly motivated participants and a unique atmosphere— that's the Graz Marathon!
This year, once again, from October 8 to 10, 2027, more than 10,000 participants will take the starting line at the Graz Marathon, creating a unique and fantastic atmosphere along the picturesque route through Graz’s Old Town. The official start takes place at the starting line on Opernring and follows a route of approximately 42.195 kilometers through downtown Graz. In addition to numerous attractive individual races, such as the Kleine Zeitung Marathon, the Gigasport Half Marathon, and the Quarter Marathon, the relay marathon is one of the most popular events for anyone looking to demonstrate team spirit. In the relay marathon, you’ll compete in teams of four and share the entire course. The perfect combination of individual competition and team sport.
